Half the Coca-Cola 600 field will be carrying special patriotic paint schemes in honor of Memorial Day this weekend at America's Home for Racing, Charlotte Motor Speedway.
At least 20 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series cars sported red, white and blue, stars and stripes, camouflage or military-themed livery.
The cars carrying red, white and blue or stars and stripes schemes are Landon Cassill (No. 00 StarCom Fiber Chevrolet), Brad Keselowski (No. 2 Miller Lite Ford), Aric Almirola (No. 10 Smithfield Ford), Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (No. 17 Fastenal Ford), Kyle Busch (No. 18 M&Ms Red, White & Blue Toyota), Martin Truex Jr. (No. 19 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker/USO Toyota), William Byron (No. 24 Liberty Patriotic Chevrolet), Corey LaJoie (No. 32 Superior Logistics Chevrolet), Matt Tifft (No. 36 Surface Sunscreen/Tunity Ford), David Ragan (No. 38 Select Blinds Ford), Ryan Preece (No. 47 Kroger Chevrolet) and Alex Bowman (No. 88 Nationwide Patriotic Chevrolet).
Cars with camouflage paint schemes are Ty Dillon (NO. 13 GEICO Military Chevrolet), Michael McDowell (No. 34 Love's Travel Stops Ford), Jimmie Johnson (No 48 Ally Patriotic Chevrolet) and Matt DiBenedetto (No. 95 Procore Safety Qualified Toyota).
The No. 51 Jacob Companies Ford of Cody Ware was wrapped to mimic a World War II-era P-40 Warhawk fighter plane. The Rick Ware Racing cars of Bayley Curry and B.J. McLeod also honored America's military with their paint schemes.
Ryan Newman's No. 6 Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs Ford also sports patriotic livery.
In addition, four NASCAR Xfinity Series cars had special schemes on this Memorial Day weekend: the No. Pilot/Flying J Chevrolet of Michael Annett, the No. 18 iK9 Toyota of Jeffrey Earnhardt (to honor fallen Mooresville Police Department Officer Jordan Sheldon), the No. 39 Night Owl Contractors Chevrolet of Ryan Sieg and the No. 74 Journey Home Project/Charlite Daniels Chevrolet of Camden Murphy.
All Goodyear tires used this weekend replaced the usual "Eagle" on the sidewall with "Honor and Remember."
