The Heritage Invitational at Ten Tenths Motor Club is set to return for its third annual celebration of automotive excellence, and this year’s event will pay tribute to a true Porsche legend. Alwin Springer, the driving force behind Porsche’s motorsport success in North America, will be honored during a special gala dinner on Saturday, April 5.
Springer’s name is synonymous with Porsche performance. As a founding member of ANDIAL, the powerhouse behind Porsche’s motorsport dominance in the 1970s and ‘80s, and later as the head of Porsche Motorsport North America, Springer played a pivotal role in shaping Porsche’s racing legacy. His expertise and dedication have left an indelible mark on the marque, making him a fitting honoree at this year’s Heritage Invitational.
The celebration of Springer’s contributions will be a highlight of an already spectacular weekend for luxury car enthusiasts. The Heritage Invitational concours event, held on Saturday, will feature a breathtaking collection of historic, rare and innovative automobiles, including a special tribute to Porsche’s incredible racing and engineering heritage. On Friday, April 4, the newly christened Ten Tenths Circuit will come alive with the Historic Trans-Am Series, marking the first official on-track action at the state-of-the-art facility. That evening, racing fans will be treated to a celebrity Pro-Am event, motorsport greats like as Jeff Gordon, Daniel Suárez, Kyle Petty, Katherine Legge, Tommy Kendall, Patrick Long, Boris Said, Max Papis, Scott Pruett and Scott Speed expected to take on the circuit in a thrilling showcase of skill and speed.
