Back and brighter than ever, Speedway Christmas presented by Atrium Health is gearing up for its 15th anniversary, opening this Friday! From over 5 million twinkling lights to a jam-packed Christmas Village, this season’s holiday fun is set to deliver more joy and magic than ever before.
THE MOVIES:
All season long, guests will enjoy holiday favorites on the new-and-improved 16,000-square-foot HDTV as part of Queen City News Movie Nights at Speedway Christmas. The season’s drive-in movie lineup kicks off this week with The Muppet Christmas Carol, presented by Cook Out Friday through Sunday. Each night the village is open, Speedway Christmas visitors can park in the infield halfway through the light show and tune their radio to 105.1 FM for the movie audio. The movies start at 6:30 p.m., with a second showing immediately following.
THE VENDORS:
Located inside the infield Christmas village, guests can get a jumpstart on holiday shopping with a rotating lineup of local vendors, crafters and artisans, including can’t-miss gourmet chocolate from Chocolate Moonshine, hand-crafted jewelry by Queensland Jewelry and Unique Touches’ custom wooden decor and accessories. These three shops will be set up throughout the season offering visitors a variety of unique gift options sure to make the holiday season extra special.
REMEMBER THE MAGIC:
Speedway Christmas offers unforgettable family fun all year long, but guests who arrive early on opening weekend will have an easy way to commemorate this year’s festivities. The first 250 vehicles to arrive on opening night, Nov. 22, or Nov. 23, will receive a limited-edition Speedway Christmas presented by Atrium Health ornament as a keepsake.
WHAT’S NEW:
This year’s show features over 135 new holiday displays and figurines spread across the property, making this year more unique and magical than ever before. From a one-of-a-kind light-wrapped Toyota Camry stock car to 20-foot-tall golden angels welcoming guests, fans won’t want to miss these never-before-seen photo ops.
