Charlotte Motor Speedway helped one of its most loyal fans realize a dream on Friday, when David Cantrell of Acworth, Georgia, won the "Be CMS's Guest in Vegas," a trip to NASCAR Champion's Week Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in Las Vegas.
Cantrell - who was eligible for the drawing after he renewed his tickets for 2017 races at Charlotte Motor Speedway - will get to take in NASCAR's glitz and glamour alongside the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with free airfare and lodging for three nights. Cantrell will experience first-hand the excitement revolving around the NASCAR® NMPA Myers Brothers Awards Luncheon, NASCAR After the Lap, the fan pre-event reception and red carpet access to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards.
"I cannot believe it," said Acworth, a Kevin Harvick fan who renewed his tickets to multiple Speedway Motorsports Inc. tracks this year. "I'm just blown away. I've watched that awards show for so many years that it's surreal to know I'll get to be there. It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing."
