Reserved seats for Saturday's qualifying rounds of the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals presented by Lowes Foods at zMAX Dragwayare sold out, as fans from 48 states and nine foreign countries have ventured to the Bellagio of drag strips, one of the largest venues on the circuit, for a 40,000-horsepower festival of nitro-powered drag racing excitement.
The second day of NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series action at zMAX Dragway arrived with one of the largest single-day crowds in the track's illustrious history and a much better forecast than Friday's rain-shortened slate, which saw Matt Hagan shatter the Funny Car track record in ET and speed with a 3.941-second pass at 323.50 mph in the opening qualifying round. Alexis DeJoria topped Hagan's ET mark in Saturday's first qualifying session, earning the new track ET record with a 3.939-second pass.
Fans are encouraged to purchase now to guarantee a seat for Sunday's eliminations at the one-of-a-kind, four-wide display of speed.
