CONCORD, N.C. (June 29, 2017) - After sparks fly during Tuesday's midpoint of the Bojangles' Summer Shootout season, fireworks will light up the night in a spectacular, family-friendly Fourth of July celebration like no other at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The speedway's electric night of entertainment features a full night of racing, fireworks, and driver autographs. Fans of all ages are encouraged to come watch the future stars of motorsports while enjoying a remarkable fireworks show to celebrate our nation's independence.
In addition to the on-track festivities, Bojangles' will celebrate 40 Legendary Years in the Queen City throughout the night with multiple interactive activities saluting four decades of Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n' Biscuits - which opened in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1977 thanks to founders Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas.
Bojangles will also give away 2,000 gift cards (all worth at least $1 and some worth $25, $50, and $100) to fans. Those in attendance will also receive autograph posters and vouchers for two free Bojangles' Pole Night tickets.
In addition to the fireworks and a heaping helping of chicken-fried salutes, fans can enjoy an hour-long driver autograph session before the fireworks ignite. All of the Legend Car and Bandolero drivers will park their cars on the frontstretch quarter-mile and sign autographs for free. Drivers including two-time and defending Lead 2 Real Estate Pro division champion Jordan Black join rising stars like Austin Green, Sam Mayer and Zach Miller in the autograph session.
Green, 16, and Black, 19, are in an all-out battle to lead the Lead 2 Real Estate Pro division standings. Black led a one-two finish for the teenaged hotshoes on Tuesday night to cut Green's point lead to six.
Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing beginning at approximately 6 p.m. The autograph session will begin at 8:30 p.m. and Fireworks will follow at 9:30 p.m.
