Josh Richards spent the beginning of 2016 working on Racing Goal No. 1: Winning his fourth World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series championship. Seventeen wins have propelled Richards to a 270-point lead heading into the Oct. 27-29 Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte - the dirt-track world's most spectacular season finale and the site of Richards' second goal: the perfect send-off to a championship season.
"We're super excited to be going back," Richards said. "The World Finals is without a doubt, in my opinion, the biggest dirt racing event that's ever existed. It's really cool to be a part of it and to wrap up the year with three big series racing on the same big stage. It's a race everybody wants to win."
Fans will be in for three days of action-packed, wheel-to-wheel racing when Richards takes on contenders including Rookie of the Year Billy Moyer Jr., a two-time winner this season who will have to take down Richards to capture the ultimate dirt late model prize. Moyer's impressive drive to fifth in series standings gives the rising star confidence to dethrone the newest member of late model racing royalty.
