As the engines roar to life this Saturday, Aug. 17, at the highly anticipated Cook Out Monster Truck Bash, fans are in for a night of adrenaline-pumping action and jaw-dropping stunts at The Dirt Track. This year’s bash promises to deliver the ultimate monster truck experience, featuring a thrilling array of on-track excitement, a Cook Out Pit Party, Ride Along Monster Trucks and more.
Here’s a closer look at what’s in store, by the numbers:
5,000: Located right at The Dirt Track at America’s Home for Racing, this colossal course is crafted with an astonishing 5,000 cubic yards of dirt. This massive load of dirt will help create a rugged, action-packed terrain that will challenge even the most seasoned monster truck drivers.
2,200: This massive course has made its mark as the longest Monster Truck course in the U.S. Stretching over a whopping 2,200 feet, this extensive track will test the limits of both the trucks and its drivers, setting the stage for an epic showdown.
2,000: Feel the power of 10 monstrous trucks thundering down the track each packing over 2,000 horsepower in its engine. Primed to deliver the speed and force that fans crave, these machines are ready to put on an electrifying show.
300: With the extensive preparations put into this dynamic course, it has taken 300 dump truck loads to deliver the massive quantity of dirt to the track, all to create epic and challenging obstacles for drivers to navigate through.
70: Adding an extra layer of excitement to the head-to-head battles, these six-ton machines will attempt jaw-dropping 70-foot-long over under leaps from one platform to another. These trucks will soar through the air in mind-blowing jumps, sure to dazzle the crowd.
40: The suspense will escalate as these metal-mashing machines will reach heights of up to 40 feet in the air. Prepare for a series of spectacular airborne moments and dramatic landings leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
19: Piecing the jam-packed course together, five school buses, three vans and 18 cars will all be stationed in the dirt creating the longest and most diabolical course in the country, guaranteeing an electric evening for fans.
19: In anticipation of the hair-raising night of racing, fans from 19 different states are headed to Charlotte to highlight the high-speed action at the Cook Out Monster Truck Bash.
6: Piloted by the Ford Performance Racing School, watch as six school buses transform into racing machines bringing an exhilarating twist to the action. These buses will set the stage for an action-packed evening of jaw-dropping fun, bus-racing style.
1: The one and only Super Bob Airborne will make his grand return to The Dirt Track and take center stage as he performs breathtaking feats in his caped El Camino. Prepare for awe-inspiring stunts as he jumps over cars and charges through a mobile home, promising to bring electrifying excitement to the night.
1: If that’s not enough there’s still even more to destroy, an RV will additionally be smashed to smithereens in the center of the course during the freestyle portion of the night.
