There will be fireworks both on and off the track this Tuesday at the Bojangles' Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In addition to highly competitive Legend Car and Bandolero racing on the frontstretch quarter-mile, fans will enjoy the Charlotte area's first Fourth of July fireworks of the year. The show will cap off the evening after the on-track excitement concludes.

Families are encouraged to make this Tuesday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway family fun night.  This Speedway's Play Zone will be open with a bounce house, face painting and interactive games at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Fan Van. Tuesday, fans can get a cool down from Charlotte Motor Speedway's fire truck, Engine 343, as it sprays water into the grandstands.

Round 5 marks the midway point in the Bojangles' Summer Shootout Series, and Ashton Higgins (Outlaws Division), Tom Pistone (Security Force Masters Division) and Michael Torres (Pro Division) are the current point's leaders in close contest for division championships. Daniel Wilk is the only driver in the series who has won all four feature races in his division and has proven his dominance as a driver in the Livewell Homes Bandits division.

To add another spark to the evening, there will be a special demonstration of the Big-Rig tractor, tire squealing power-sliding action of the Meritor ChampTruck World Series.  This internationally acclaimed road-course race comes to Charlotte Motor Speedway July 2-4.
