The 15th season of the Southeast’s largest drive-thru holiday light show features more than 5 million lights on a four-mile course that includes the legendary oval, pit road and infield road course. The show is open 6-10 p.m. rain or shine and features synchronized lights-to-music on 101.3 FM plus drive-in movies on the gigantic Speedway TV every Thursday through Sunday night until Christmas. NOTE: The Express Lane and Christmas Village are open Dec. 16-23.

Traffic Tip: Friday and Saturday nights in December are traditionally the busiest nights and guests may experience extended wait times for entry. Consider Sunday-Thursday nights for quicker entry and arrive early.

Enjoy four 250-foot lanes of adrenaline-packed fun! Though Speedway Christmas presented by Atrium Health is a must-see attraction, admission to the light show is not required to access the Cook Out Tubing Hill.

Tubing Hill admission will be sold on-site only.

NOTE: The Cook Out Tubing Hill will be closed on Dec. 24.

Queen City News Movie Nights

Queen City News Movie Nights

Every Thursday-Sunday night through Dec. 29, Speedway Christmas will feature Queen City News Movie Nights on its 16,000-square-foot HDTV. Guests can park in the infield and tune their radio dial to 105.1FM to hear audio from a variety of Christmas classics. Movies begin at 6:30 p.m. with a second showing immediately following the end of the first. The movie schedule features:

  • Nov. 22-24: "The Muppet Christmas Carol" presented by Cook Out
  • Nov. 28-Dec. 1: “How The Grinch Stole Christmas" presented by Janet Wilson-Russell Realty
  • Dec. 5-8: “White Christmas” presented by Food Lion
  • Dec. 12-17: “Elf” presented by AutoBell
  • Dec. 18-23: “Polar Express” presented by Cook Out
  • Dec. 26-29: “Home Alone” presented by Bojangles
